Assam Rifles Public School, Shillong, was established on 1st September 1980 by Lt. Gen. Sushil Kumar, PVSM, the then Director General of Assam Rifles. The school was founded with the vision of providing affordable and quality education to the children of Assam Rifles personnel. Over the years, it has grown into one of the leading educational institutions in the North East, welcoming students from diverse backgrounds.
