Greenwood School, Dimapur, is a reputed co-educational English medium institution established in 1981 under the Children Welfare Society (CWS). Initially founded as Child Evangelism Welfare School, it was later renamed Greenwood School in 1988. Over the years, the school has grown from humble beginnings with thatched huts and bamboo walls to modern multi-storied concrete buildings, reflecting its steady progress and commitment to quality education.
The school is affiliated with the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) and provides education up to the Higher Secondary level. In 1987, it received official permission to introduce Classes IX and X. Later, in 1998, the Higher Secondary section for the Arts stream was launched, further expanding academic opportunities for students in the region.
Greenwood School focuses on holistic education that combines academic excellence with strong moral values and discipline. From its very first year with 59 students, including 25 hostellers, the school has consistently worked to nurture young minds and empower them for future challenges.
