The Lawrence School, Sanawar, established in 1847, is one of the oldest co-educational boarding schools in the world. Located in the scenic hills of Solan, Himachal Pradesh, at an altitude of 1,750 meters, the school campus spreads across 139 acres of pine and deodar forests. Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), it is renowned for its rich legacy, holistic education, and commitment to academic excellence.

Historical Legacy
Founded by Sir Henry and Lady Honoria Lawrence, Sanawar started with 14 boys and girls in April 1847.
Recognized as the first co-educational boarding school in the world.
Honored with the King’s Colours in 1853, a distinction shared by only six institutions in the British Empire.
Redesignated as the Lawrence Royal Military School in 1920 for its contribution to the armed forces.
The school celebrated its Centenary in 1947 with Lord Louis Mountbatten presiding, and later transitioned to the Lawrence School (Sanawar) Society in 1953.
